On Friday, August 12th, Homeless Children’s Network (HCN) hosted a Ma’at Summer BBQ for family, friends and community members to enjoy at the Hilltop Park in the Bayview neighborhood in San Francisco. The day was filled with community members enjoying the sun with delicious food, awesome games and amazing music.
HCN’s Ma’at Program is a supportive holistic therapeutic community, in which we center and work with Black/African American families in San Francisco.
Our Ma’at Summer BBQ Planning Committee included our phenomenal HCN staff members De Janay (DJ) Mathews, Iesha Brooks, Jeffery Allen, Jr. and Shawneshia Hoover. We are so grateful to our planning committee for bringing community joy and fun to this summer picnic event!
The Ma’at Family & Friends Summer BQQ was all about soaking up and enjoying the last days of summer with a bang! HCN is here to celebrate our community with family and friends.
