About HCN:
Homeless Children’s Network (HCN) works to address the traumatic effects of homelessness and violence in the lives of young Black children and their families in San Francisco. HCN is scaling our innovative workforce development programs to build a pipeline of Black peer support specialists, mental health professionals, and healing arts facilitators to reduce unemployment and displacement and provide critical support in the San Francisco Black community.
Executive Director Dr. April Silas states,“Homeless Children's Network is proud to join our fellow Community Progress Makers to advance social and economic opportunities for communities of color across the U.S. The unrestricted financial support, technical assistance, and learning community provided by the Foundation and this initiative will be vital as we continue to scale our work with the San Francisco Black community.”
